In Hebrews 12:2, Christ is referred to as the "author and finisher of our faith." When we put ourselves in His care, His goal is to "finish" - "polish or perfect" our faith. If we could relax and get to the point where we truly enjoyed the story, resisted flipping to the end to see how it’s all going to work out, then we’d enjoy life a whole lot more. • When will it occur?
• Who else will be involved in making it happen?
• Where is it going to happen?

Once you release these questions to His care, you’ll trust your Heavenly Father, and He’ll trust you. You’ll have a relationship, and He’ll help you fly to your fullest potential. But as long as you struggle and fight over things you can’t control, you’ll be limited in your sphere of influence and opportunity like a bird trapped in a house.

James Allen in As a Man Thinketh put it this way: "As the progressive and evolving being, man is where he is that he may learn that he may grow; and as he learns the spiritual lesson which any circumstance contains for him, it passes away and gives place to other circumstances."
